Arsenal recovering from the depressing Champions League

It seems the Arsenal players have woken up after getting a bit of flak from the manager.

They were right up to the mark taking on Everton the other evening at the Emirates Stadium.

A victory by the margin of 2-0 helped Arsenal recover from the depressing Champions League showdown versus Monaco as well as got them a position up in the table as well.

They are no. 3 now with a lead of 1 point over Manchester United.

The Gunners are not finding themselves that far behind from overtaking Manchester City either. One or two results here and there in their favour and they would trump the Sky Blues too.

Manchester City, after that unexpected defeat against Liverpool, is not looking good for defending their title.

Chelsea is all set to be the Champions again unless and until some sort of miracle happens for City.

In fact at this point of time, City should first try and ensure that they retain their second position. As mentioned above, Arsenal is closing in on that pretty quickly.

This is the most crucial phase of the season now. All the matches from here on in carry an equal amount of importance.

Chelsea would not want to let the grip go a little loose. They need to just play on without thinking how much a margin they are ahead by at the moment.

Twice in the last three seasons, City has made laudable comebacks from behind. It does not look probable this time though, but, still, they must believe that they have an outside chance.

Arsenal, on the other hand, would also be hoping to get themselves somewhere in the fray with consecutive wins.

It’s getting very exciting in the Premier League, that’s for sure.
